SHANGHAI - What is a Boston Red Sox fan who is also a Bush fan to do tonight? Kerry is making a point of showing up for game one of the AL Championship Series. The not-so-subtle message -- I represent the poor Red Sox who have been jilted of their proper victory for too long. He's surrounded by his beloved liberal New Englanders, and he sits among the underdogs. The other not-so-subtle message: Bush represents the Yankees -- the rich team that has won too often, has stolen victory from the Sox, and wins even when they shouldn't.

I guess I'll continue to root for the home team -- my beloved Red Sox -- despite Kerry's obsequiousness towards them.

And as far as Bush is concerned: Go Yankees!
