We are Still the Country of Gettysburg
Melissa Block of National Public Radio speaks with U.S. Army Col. Mark Milley about the "steady escalation of violence." In Iraq. Milley makes some extremely thoughtful comments.

- 40,000 to 50,000 four-five vehicle patrols over the least few months. Very few have encounted the enemy -- a better gage of the violence in Iraq.

- Casualties steel our resolve to win this war rather than makes us want to leave Iraq
- I think that people ought to be free, and I am willing to fight for that.
